Nigel’s place was an absolutely amazing find. We couldn’t have had a better more enjoyable stay and Nigel was an incredibly accommodating host. This was particularly special as we stayed there for Christmas which made it all the more important to have such a beautiful place to stay and such a welcoming and generous host. The photos in the listing don’t do justice - the view from the large windows is magnificent. So much so that you don’t feel guilting staying in when the weather is too bad or you just want a day off walking! Sitting on the sofa or even while dinning you can look out the window you still feel like you are experiencing the outdoors and it’s dramatic weather. The layout is designed so you can appreciate the views wherever you are in the apartment and just made the whole experience that much more enjoyable and complete.

This is such a great apartment - great location, really well equipped and nice & cosy. We particularly loved the views, the bathroom and the great selection of walking books! We hope to be back one day.

We spent a week over New Year at Nigel’s place - a great apartment in a location that you won’t better in Ambleside. 5 min walk from the shops, restaurants and cinema with great views over the town to the fells beyond. Nigel provides a wealth of books and leaflets if you need advice on local activities - and for our trip had added some lovely Xmas touches to the apartment. The balcony would be a great place to relax in the summer - for us it was a great place to watch the NYE fireworks. Recommended!

We had a lovely stay in Ambleside. The apartment is few minutes away from the main street and lots of amenities (salutation hotel, pubs, shops). A great place to discover Lake District from! Thank you!

Really lovely apartment, well placed with stunning views. Decor was modern and chic. Spotlessly clean and ideally situated for all amenities. Nigel was a genuinely nice and helpful chap who offered lots of tips and suggestions and couldn’t have been friendlier. Will definitely come back again.
